3 Key Areas Real Estate Agents Must Master to Run a Successful Real Estate Business

When my wife decided to become a realtor, she had all sorts of marketing training such as going door to door, do telemarketing, drop off flyers everywhere, go to networking and meetings, do open houses every week, and pitch to her family and friends. Then at one point, she had a dilemma whether to continue as a realtor or not because she did not like to keep doing all those marketing and sales strategies. She thought that it was taking too much of her time from being able to spend time with her family or do relaxing activities.

She decided to take her business online. She focused on three key things that made her business transition to online successful and these are what I’ll be sharing to you here.

First thing she focused on was creating her offer. If you are looking to differentiate yourself or separate yourself from other realtors, you definitely have to have a irresistible offer. As an example, my wife does not run around just telling people that she lists homes and represents buyers. She adds more value to her position by setting up a lead generation funnel where a person who’s looking to buy or sell a house can come and download a listing homes checklist or a buying homes checklist for free. But it doesn’t stop there. She leads them to a buyer or listing presentation she has recorded so that they can watch and learn more about the process. Then these people who came in to watch usually will have her or her team represent them as a buyer or listing agent. Once that is confirmed, she then prepares to represent the buyer or stage the seller’s home and provides professional photos and videos for presentation. She’s basically adding value on top of what is commonly offered.

The second area she focuses on is her sales funnel. She set up pages to automate her marketing and sales process. She set them up to make the clients feel that they will be assisted throughout the whole process of their buying or listing journey.

The third and last thing she focuses on leading traffic to her business page. She grows her online presence by creating contents that would attract her potential clients and distributing them to all her social media platforms. Then she doesn’t forget to put a call to action for them to visit her business page and see more of what she could offer.

These are the three key things she focused on as she shifted her real estate business online and helped her generate $357,523 in personal gross commission and became Keller Williams Rookie of the Year.
